Maya officially got into acting when she played Miss Hannigan in her sixth-grade play Annie Jr, however she took first interest in acting when she was six years old. Soon after that her parents signed her up with talent agent Amy Hines of Hines Management, Toronto. She booked her first professional role as Zoe on "Disney Jetix Smash Bumpers", appeared in a Rogers "Stretch" commercial and booked the role of Young Isabel in "Upanishads" in 2005. She began 2006 by booking the role of Zelly in "Finn's Girl" from which she had great reviews!! After completion of Finn's Girl, she booked the role she's most known for as Molly in the TV movie "Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front". She finished off 2006 by booking the role of Eleanor in the MOW "Holiday Switch". Maya took a short break from acting to return to her studies but couldn't miss doing the Lifetime Mini-Series "The Capture of the Green River Killer" where she played Tom Cavanagh's (Dave Reichert) daughter. She also got to perform with Joe Montegna in 2008 in the film "The Last Hit Man". Now that Maya is finished high school she is back into acting, completing a feature in 2010 and a role in Rookie Blue in 2011. When she's not acting, Maya loves to hang out with friends!
